Li Na gets past Sesil Karatantcheva

World number six Li Na has advanced to the next round of the Australian Open with a straightforward victory over Sesil Karatantcheva.

The former French Open champion stormed to a 6-1 6-3 triumph after just over one and a quarter hours on court.

Li was dominant from the off, beating her Russian opponent with 21 winners during the course of the match.

However, it was not a faultless performance, as she succumbed to 31 unforced errors.

Victory sets up an encounter with the winner between Pauline Parmentier and Olga Govortsova.
