Wozniacki: "I kept fighting"

Caroline Wozniacki believes that her battling victory over Sabine Lisicki will give her confidence as she looks to progress at the Australian Open.

The 10th seed came from a set down to reach the second round in Melbourne, where she will play either Andrea Hlavackova or Donna Vekic.

The Dane believes that Lisicki - who was unseeded despite reaching the semi-final of Wimbledon last year - was a dangerous first-round opponent.

"I kept fighting, kept playing for every point out there," said Wozniacki. "It's not easy playing a girl like her because she can make some amazing shots.

"It's always tough, she should really be seeded. It definitely gives you some confidence going into the tournament after a tough round like this."

Wozniacki, who has never won a Grand Slam title, reached the semi-final of the Australian Open in 2011.
