Johanna Konta: 'I'm living the dream'

Johanna Konta says that she is living a dream after booking her place in the semi-finals of the Australian Open.

Great Britain's Johanna Konta has admitted that she is living a dream following her straight-set win over Zhang Shuai in the quarter-finals of the Australian Open earlier today.

The 24-year-old had never previously reached the main draw at Melbourne Park, but having overcome her Chinese opponent in one hour and 24 minutes, she is now just one of four players left in the competition.

"I'm just so happy that I'm enjoying what I'm doing. That is me living my dream," Sydney-born Konta told Eurosport.

"When I was a little girl, I dreamt of winning Grand Slams and being number one in the world. That dream stays the same, I think, as long as you're doing the career that you're on."

Konta is the first British woman since 1983 to have reached the semi-finals of a Grand Slam tournament.
