Roger Federer said that he is "looking forward" to next year's challenge against his rivals following his victory at the ATP World Tour Finals in London.

Roger Federer has said that he is already looking forward to next year's tournaments following his ATP World Tour Finals victory in London.

The Swiss pro claimed a 6-3 6-7[6] 6-3 win over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on the ATP final at the O2 Arena yesterday.

"Regardless of how it went [in London], I would have been in a good state of mind for next year," ESPN quotes Federer as saying. "I think that counts for all the other top guys as well.

"I think it's been a good year and a good championship for most of the top eight players. I think most of them are looking forward to next year starting again at some point.

"For me, it was the strongest finish I've ever had in my career, which I'm very proud of. I'm looking forward to next year."

The former world number one has 70 titles to his name after the victory in London.
