Novak Djokovic hails "incredible season"

World number one Novak Djokovic has described the past 12 months as an "incredible season" for him.

The Serbian was speaking after receiving the ATP Player of the Year award at the O2 Arena in London.

"It has been an incredible season, the best of my career," said the four-time Grand Slam winner. "I have enjoyed every single moment of it.

"I'm very proud of what I have achieved.

"It has been the result of many years of hard work."

Djokovic recorded his 70th win of 2011 during his opening ATP World Tour Finals match against Tomas Berdych last night.
