Juan Martin del Potro breezes through to second round of Olympics

Argentinian Juan Martin del Potro has advanced to the second round of the men's singles at London 2012 by affording just five games against Croatia's Ivan Dodig.

Del Potro began the game in the perfect manner by breaking Dodig's serve at the first time of asking before both men held strong on serve in the remainder of the set, with Del Potro coming through 6-4.

The second was a different story, with Dodig holding to love in the opening game before Del Potro won all of the next six to complete the victory in 69 minutes.

The 23-year-old will next face Italy's Andreas Seppi at the All England Club.
