New Zealand thrash Australia in Rugby Championship

All Blacks thrash Wallabies

New Zealand have thrashed Australia 51-20 in their Rugby Championship meeting at Eden Park in Auckland.

The All Blacks scored six tries in a record-breaking victory over their fierce rivals.

The Wallabies staged a late comeback scoring two tries in three minutes but were blown away by a dominant New Zealand performance.

It took till the 28th minute for the first try of the game, which was converted through a penalty, to be scored.

Julian Savea then broke through to convert New Zealand's second 10 minutes before half time as the All Blacks took a 23-6 lead into the break.

The floodgates opened 10 minutes after the restart as Kieran Read and captain Richie McCaw both scored, with each conversion successful.

Australia replied with tries from Israel Folau and captain Michael Hooper to rattle the hosts for the remaining 15 minutes.

However, it was New Zealand who had the last laugh as Steven Luatua scored his side's sixth try, surpassing 50 with the conversion.

The All Blacks also lifted the Bledisoe Cup for the 12th consecutive time after winning the trophy annually since 2003.
