Wigan Warriors hooker Michael McIlorum signs a new deal with the Super League champions.

Wigan Warriors hooker Michael McIlorum has signed a contract extension with the Super League champions.

The 26-year-old's new terms are due to expire at the end of the 2016-17 season.

McIlorum penned his first professional deal with Wigan in 2007.

"I thoroughly enjoy playing for Wigan and the successes of the last few seasons have made me even hungrier to achieve more with the club," he told the club's official website.

"I am pleased to have put pen to paper on an extended deal and am really looking forward to the rest of the season ahead. I am confident we can build as a team on our achievements of 2013."

McIlorum has made 166 appearances for Wigan during his time at the DW Stadium.
