Salford Red Devils forward Gareth Hock withdraws transfer request

Gareth Hock reveals that he is staying with Salford Red Devils after withdrawing his transfer request.

Salford Red Devils have confirmed that forward Gareth Hock has withdrawn his transfer request.

The 31-year-old had his request to leave the Red Devils accepted by the Super League club back in September.

Hock has three years remaining on his current deal at the AJ Bell Stadium.

"I am really happy to be staying at this club," he told Salford's official website. "I realise I upset a fair few people and I can only apologise to them and say that I firmly intend to make things right next season.

"The fans haven't yet seen the best of me so now I have to get back to work and head into pre-season and get ready for what should be an exciting 2015 for the Red Devils."

Hock joined Salford from Widnes Vikings in summer 2013.
