London Broncos 40-28 Salford City Reds

London Broncos performed a Super League record comeback to shock Salford City Reds, beating them 40-28 at The Stoop.

The Broncos took an early lead when winger Omari Caro intercepted Luke Patten's ambitious floated pass to run home unopposed.

However, Salford soon raced into a 28-6 lead in a completely dominant first-half display, with tries from Sean Gleeson, Vinnie Anderson, Jodie Broughton, Matty Ashurst and Ashley Gibson.

The second half began with the Broncos looking like a different side and they soon reduced the deficit when Julien Rinaldi's break was finished by Gower.

Gower's high kick then led to Clubb scoring from close range to raise the prospect of an unlikely comeback.

Kieran Dixon, Chris Bailey, Jamie O'Callaghan, Will Lovell and Luke Dorn all ran in tries for London to bury Salford.

The comeback broke the previous record, which was from 21 points down by Warrington.

The result also all but ended Salford's slim chance of reaching the playoffs.
