Huddersfield Giants too strong for Salford Red Devils

Huddersfield Giants have eased to a 42-22 win over Salford Red Devils in the Super League this evening.

Aaron Murphy led the visitors' charge in the first half, finding the tryline twice in the opening 40 minutes to lead the team to a 22-10 lead at half time.

Francis Meli and Matty Ashurst gave the hosts some hope early in the second half, but the Giants' strong defensive display prevented them from levelling the scores.

Murphy completed his hat-trick towards the end of the match, while Chris Bailey and Jermaine McGillvary increased Huddersfield's lead further.

Meli also finished the game with a hat-trick, scoring a late consolation to add to his previous efforts, but it was not enough to prevent the defeat.
