Salford Red Devils have asked Hull FC to postpone Friday's Super League clash due to an "unprecedented injury crisis".
The Red Devils currently have eight players on the sidelines, while a further four suffered knocks during Sunday's narrow defeat to Castleford Tigers.
Hull are yet to respond to the request, but Salford will be found guilty of misconduct if they are refused permission.
