Gareth Hock handed seven-match ban

Salford Red Devils forward Gareth Hock has been handed a seven-match ban for deliberately making physical contact with referee Matt Thomason.

The incident took place during Salford's 33-22 win over Hull FC at the AJ Bell Stadium on Saturday.

Hock will now miss the remainder of the regular season, and will only feature again if 12th-placed Salford achieve a playoff place.

The 30-year-old has also been fined £300 by the RFL.
