Graeme McDowell and Jim Furyk joint-lead the US Open at the end of day three, after Tiger Woods falls down the leaderboard.

Former champions Graeme McDowell and Jim Furyk will begin the final day of the US Open as joint leaders.

McDowell, who was victorious in 2010, began his third round with eight consecutive pars before bogeying the ninth after a poor drive.

However, the 32-year-old bounced back with birdies at 10, 13 and 18 to post an impressive 68 and move to one-under alongside Furyk, who carded an even-par 70.

Tiger Woods, who had begun the round tied for the lead with Furyk and David Toms, slipped out of contention as a six-bogey round of 75 left him five shots short of the lead.

Fredrik Jacobson is third on one-over, while Ernie Els, Lee Westwood, Nicolas Colsaerts and Blake Adams are a shot back in joint-fourth.
