Ian Poulter says that the European team are ready for their singles matches at the Ryder Cup.

Ian Poulter has said that the European team are "pumped" for their Ryder Cup singles matches at Medinah.

The US lead 10-6 with 12 points up for grabs on the final day of the 39th playing of the storied competition.

Poulter has been the star in Jose Maria Olazabal's ensemble this week, and the Spaniard praised him for his contribution in yesterday's fourballs match.

The Englishman partnered Rory McIlroy to defeat Jason Dufner and Zach Johnson in a gripping final match that went to the 18th green.

Poulter faces US Open champion Webb Simpson in the second of today's matches and has vowed to give his all.

"I will give it 100% today," said Poulter. "I can't give any more.

"The guys are pumped up, I know that from the team room last night. We've got Seve on the arm and we can't ask for more."

Luke Donald will lead Europe out against Bubba Watson in the first match.
