Toro Rosso to look for new engine supplier following Renault exit

Torro Rosso say that they will be on the lookout for a new engine supplier after Renault announced they would no longer provide engines for Formula 1 teams.

Toro Rosso team boss Franz Tost has said that they are looking for a new engine supplier for the future.

Renault announced earlier this week that they will no longer supply engines to Formula 1 teams.

Team Red Bull, who are also supplied by Renault, are expected to turn to Ferrari for engines, but Tost has refused to reveal who their potential supplier will be.

"As Renault decided not to supply us anymore with engines of course we have to take into consideration to change the engine," Tost is quoted as saying by Fox Sport Asia.

"Confidential talks are continuing, therefore I don't know at the moment which engine we will have in the car next year.

"I hope that we will get a result soon but currently we have confidential negotiations and as I mentioned before I hope we come to a result as soon as possible."

The F1 season continues today with the final practice and qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix.
