Red Bull hint at quitting Formula 1

Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz refuses to reveal if Red Bull will continue to participate in Formula 1.

Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz has suggested that his company may quit Formula 1.

The Austrian brand have an appeal to the decision to disqualify their driver Daniel Ricciardo from the recent Australian Grand Prix to be heard next month.

Asked whether the outcome of that hearing could determine whether or not the team continued in the sport, Mateschitz told Kurier: "The question is not so much whether it makes economic sense but the reasons would be to do with sportsmanship, political influence and so on. In these issues there is a clear limit to what we can accept."

Ricciardo, who finished second in Melbourne, was excluded because the FIA have alleged that he used too much fuel.
