Lewis Hamilton eyeing Ayrton Senna landmark

Lewis Hamilton targets a third world title, to match the feat of Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna.

Lewis Hamilton has set his sights on matching Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna by winning three world championships.

The Briton wrapped up his second drivers' title with victory at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last November.

However, Hamilton is determined to add another world crown to his collection.

He told BBC Sport: "Ayrton Senna was always my favourite driver. So, from back in the day, that was the dream - to emulate Ayrton.

"If anybody was to say I was a legend now, I would say, 'Absolutely not.' Firstly, legends are generally people who are retired. Secondly, to be a legendary driver you have to be up amongst them and have three titles.

"Of course that's the goal. The second one took forever and was easily as hard as the first. The third, I anticipate, will be even harder."

The 2015 season gets underway at the Australian Grand Prix on March 15.
