Lewis Hamilton "massively happy" with Mercedes practice

Lewis Hamilton says that he is "massively happy" with Mercedes's performance over both practice sessions at the Australian Grand Prix.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has claimed that he is "massively happy" with his team's performance in the opening practice sessions at the Australian Grand Prix.

The 28-year-old finished fourth-fastest in the first session, while teammate Nico Rosberg clocked the third-quickest time in the second.

"We're not massively off the Red Bulls which is really incredible and shows what a great job all the guys back at the factory have done," BBC Sport quotes Hamilton as saying.

"It's too early to say right now we're the best of the rest, but we're definitely up there which I'm massively happy about."

World champion Sebastian Vettel was quickest in both practice sessions.
