Italian GP sell-out points to record-breaking Monza crowd

Race day for the 2025 Italian Grand Prix is already sold out, with Monza now tipped to surpass last year’s record-breaking weekend attendance.

The confirmation came from ACI commissioner Tullio Del Sette, just weeks ahead of the September 7 race.

“The large expected turnout, which will most likely allow us to surpass last year’s attendance record, represents recognition for the entire Italian federation and confirms the central role of the Italian GP in the history of world motorsport,” he said.

In 2024, more than 335,000 spectators attended across the three days, a mark organisers now aim to beat. Tickets are still available for Friday and Saturday, which will host Formula 1 practice and qualifying alongside Formula 2, Formula 3 and Porsche Supercup action.

The sell-out comes despite another challenging season for Ferrari, with McLaren holding a dominant 299-point constructors’ lead, but Charles Leclerc’s surprise Monza victory in 2024, plus Lewis Hamilton’s debut Italian GP appearance for the Scuderia, promise to stoke the tifosi’s trademark fervour.
