Lewis Hamilton's father begins court proceedings against Paul di Resta

Hamilton's father takes Di Resta to court

Anthony Hamilton, the father of McLaren driver Lewis, has launched a court case for wrongful termination of contract and loss of earnings against Paul di Resta.

It was reported that Hamilton senior had left his role as Di Resta's manager prior to last month's British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

While no reason for the split was given at the time, Hamilton has now expressed his belief that he was unfairly treated by the Force India driver.

However, Di Resta has since filed a counter claim, insisting that Anthony Hamilton had misled him over a sponsorship deal with an energy drink company.

It is believed that both parties are hoping to reach an out of court settlement.
