Stefano Domenicali: 'Kimi Raikkonen has matured'

Team principal Stefano Domenicali says that Kimi Raikkonen is showing more maturity during his second stint with Ferrari.

Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali has insisted that the returning Kimi Raikkonen is more mature.

The Finnish driver left Ferrari following the conclusion of the 2009 Formula 1 campaign and had since driven for Lotus before reaching an agreement to rejoin his former employer late last year.

With testing ahead of the new campaign underway, Domenicali has revealed that Raikkonen is now more understanding of his role as part of a team.

"I have found a more mature Kimi, more closely knit to the team. He comes to Maranello almost every week to work with the engineers," he told the team's official website.

"He knows his worth and he knows what team he has returned to and what challenges he will face, having a world champion like (Fernando) Alonso alongside him for whom he has respect and he will have to adapt to working with him."

Thirty-four-year-old Raikkonen won the world championship with Ferrari back in 2007.
