Johnson signs new Wycombe deal

Wycombe Wanderers defender Leon Johnson has admitted that he just wants to prepare for the start of the new campaign after signing a new contract at Adams Park.

Johnson's deal at the League Two outfit expired at the end of last season, but after agreeing terms on a two-year contract, the Grenada international has insisted that he is happy to be staying with the club until 2015.

The 32-year-old told the club's official website: "It was quite a drawn-out process but it's all sorted and it's nice to be back.

"I've come in on Monday and everything was normal, a few of the lads were even happy to see me!"

He added: "I just want a pre-season and the fitness it brings under my belt so I'm ready for the first game of the season."

Johnson arrived at Wycombe from Gillingham in 2007.
