Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly ready to break their transfer record for the second time this year by bringing in Morgan Sanson from Marseille.
The Premier League side splashed out £32m to turn Raul Jimenez's loan move from Benfica into a permanent deal earlier this month.
French publication Le 10 Sport claims that Wolves are now about to pay an additional £4.5m to land Sanson, who has featured 79 times for Marseille in Ligue 1 since joining from Montpellier in January 2017.
Sanson has yet to represent France at senior level, but he has been heralded as one of the finest central midfielders in the top tier of French football.
Having only put pen to paper on a new contract that runs through until 2022 in December, however, Marseille can demand a large transfer fee.
Wolves' Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to have eyed up Sanson in the past.
