Wolves end Paterson pursuit

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has confirmed that he is no longer interested in signing Nottingham Forest winger Jamie Paterson.

The 23-year-old had been linked with a move to Molineux after struggling to hold down a regular first-team place at the City Ground this season.

However, Jackett says that any interest in Paterson cooled after it became clear that Bakary Sako would be staying with Wolves.

"We did talk about him some time back but Sako will be back this weekend and as the weeks have progressed, the less likely we have looked like needing a left-sided player to come on loan," Jackett told the Birmingham Mail.

"He's someone we have been aware of. But no, he's not someone we're moving for or is coming in."

Paterson joined Forest from Walsall in 2013.
