Mike Williamson tips "natural" Benik Afobe for Premier League

Mike Williamson says that Wolverhampton Wanderers teammate Benik Afobe has "all the attributes" to succeed in the Premier League.

Wolverhampton Wanderers' on-loan defender Mike Williamson has said that teammate Benik Afobe would be a success in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old joined Wolves from Arsenal in January and netted 13 goals in 21 appearances to take his side to within a whisker of the playoffs, leading to summer links with Premier League clubs including Norwich City and Williamson's parent side Newcastle United.

"In training [he] has been fantastic and you can see he has a natural eye for goal as well as all the attributes to be a good Premier League player," Williamson told The Football League Paper.

"He just needs to get his head down, work hard and keep doing what he's doing. That's a natural progression for him, I'm sure."

Afobe netted the equaliser as Wolves held Ipswich Town to a 2-2 draw at Portman Road in the Championship yesterday.
