Norwich City manager Paul Lambert has leapt to the defence of his opposite number at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Mick McCarthy.
Certain sections of the Wolves faithful called for McCarthy to be sacked earlier this season, but the 52-year-old has since guided the club out of the relegation zone.
Lambert believes that those who have been critical of McCarthy should be more appreciative of what he has done for the club.
"There is no doubt the criticism was unjust," Lambert told reporters. "For what he has done for that club, it just shows you that some people have short memory spans at times.
"Mick has done a really good job up there."
Lambert will come up against McCarthy when their teams meet at Molineux tomorrow night.
