Kenny Jackett: 'My confidence is very high'

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett insists that his personal confidence is "very high" despite the Championship side's poor run of form.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett has insisted that he remains confident of his side's promotion chances despite their poor run of form in the Championship.

The Midlands side finished outside of the playoff places on goal difference last term but just six league wins in 21 games this campaign sees them sit a disappointing 17th spot in the table.

Jackett, who took over at Molineux when the club were relegated to League One in 2013, said that he "very much" believed in his own ability to turn Wolves' season around.

"My own personal confidence is very high," he told the Express & Star.

"In terms of the players, you could see the confidence coming and going during one game, certainly it can come and go over periods. As for my own personal confidence and determination and belief in myself – that's very high."

The former Millwall and Swansea City manager went on to hint that January reinforcements were a possibility, saying: "Every window is important. If you haven't got the equation right and you're either indifferent or poor you do need to change things around."

Wolves visit Sheffield Wednesday, who are without a league win in four, this afternoon.
