Jackett: 'Doyle not close to exit'

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has revealed that striker Kevin Doyle is still showing a professional attitude at Molineux, despite being out of favour at the club.

Doyle has returned to the Championship outfit after the end of a loan spell with Crystal Palace, and after he failed to secure a move in the January transfer window, Jackett has hinted that the door isn't completely closed on the Irishman.

The 53-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "I wouldn't hesitate to use Kevin Doyle if I felt it was the right thing. He's shown a good attitude and he trained with the Under-21s on Thursday.

"But as far as him going anywhere, I didn't think there was anything particularly close in January."

Doyle hasn't featured for Wolves since January 2014.
