Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Conor Coady revels in "sensational" win

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Conor Coady heaps praise on his teammates after they defeated Middlesbrough 2-1 with only nine men.

Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Conor Coady has heaped praise on his teammates after they defeated Middlesbrough 2-1 away from home, despite playing the final 20 minutes of the match with nine men.

The defender said that his team put in a sensational performance to grind out a result after losing Ruben Neves and Matt Doherty to red cards.

"I thought the boys were sensational," he told Sky Sports News.

"The referee hasn't helped us tonight. There's been a lot gone wrong there and for the boys to do what they've done and dig in is credit to everyone.

"We've done the same all season and we've got to keep on going. This is huge for us."

The result leaves Wolves six points clear at the top of the Championship, although they have played a game more than second-placed Cardiff City.
