Chris Iwelumo becomes Wolves coach

Wolverhampton Wanderers have appointed former striker Chris Iwelumo as their new Under-18s coach.

The 36-year-old takes on his first coaching role since retiring from football in October last year.

He returns to Wolves, where he spent two years as a player between 2008 and 2010, scoring 14 goals in the 2008-09 season to help Wolves win the Championship.

Since retiring, former Scotland international Iwelumo has tried his hand at media work, but now seems to have set his sights on a career in coaching.
