Eintracht Braunschweig off bottom with first win

Eintracht Braunschweig win their first game since their promotion to the Bundesliga and move off the bottom of the table.

Eintracht Braunschweig have lifted themselves off the bottom of the Bundesliga with a 2-0 win against Wolfsburg away from home.

The first chance of the game fell for the hosts, but Jan Polak was unable to direct his header from Ricardo Rodriguez's free kick on target.

It remained all Wolfsburg and Ivica Olic should have opened the scoring after 15 minutes, but put his close-range effort wide of goal.

Against the run of play it was the visitors who went ahead. Karim Bellarabi made no mistake with his finish after he was played in by Mirko Boland.

Wolfsburg were stunned but their pressure continued after the break. Olic again had a chance from close range, but this time his header went over.

Instead, it was the visitors who wrapped up the points late on through Dominick Kumbela as he slotted into the bottom corner for his side's first win.
