Wigan Athletic release five players

Championship side Wigan Athletic have released five players, including Chilean international Jean Beausejour.

The 30-year-old joined the Latics back in 2012 from Birmingham City, but he is now in need of a new club.

As well as Beausejour, Wigan have also opted not to offer fresh terms to Stephen Crainey, Markus Holgersson, Jordan Mustoe and Adam Buxton.

With the exception of Buxton, all of those players featured for the first team at the DW Stadium in varying degrees.
