Tim Chow signs new Wigan Athletic deal

Young midfielder Tim Chow signs a new two-year contract with Wigan Athletic.

Wigan Athletic youngster Tim Chow has signed a contract extension at the DW Stadium.

The 21-year-old's previous deal had been due to expire at the end of the month.

However, the midfielder has now committed himself to the recently relegated club until the summer of 2017.

"I'm delighted to sign again for the club. It's been an extraordinary couple of months for me personally and I hope to continue my progress," he told the club's official website.

"Everyone at the club is determined to bounce back and I think under Gary [Caldwell, manager] we have an excellent opportunity to do that.

"I'm thankful to Gary for my opportunity and I'm determined to do my best for the club and to play my part."

Chow has risen through the ranks at Wigan, having joined the club back in 2003.
