West Ham United have confirmed that Edimilson Fernandes has been loaned out to Fiorentina.
Fernandes has played a bit-part role for the Hammers during his two years in East London, but new manager Manuel Pellegrini has brought in a number of new additions during the summer transfer window.
That has resulted in the Switzerland international being deemed surplus to requirements this season, and the 22-year-old has been allowed to make the switch to the Serie A outfit.
West Ham have not disclosed any financial details regarding the move, but a report has previously suggested that Fiorentina will have the option of signing Fernandes for £7.16m next summer.
Fernandes has made a total of 17 starts and 25 substitute appearances in the Premier League.
