West Ham United 'complete Jarrod Bowen signing in £22m deal'

West Ham 'complete Jarrod Bowen signing'

West Ham United have completed the signing of Jarrod Bowen from Hull City in a deal understood to be worth up to £22m.

The 23-year-old arrived at West Ham's training ground to undergo a medical at around lunchtime on deadline day, but talks stalled over personal terms between the player and the club.

Bowen was thought to be demanding £60,000-a-week wages, which West Ham were happy to agree to as long as the deal included a clause which saw those wages halved should they suffer relegation this season.

However, they have now agreed terms on a move which is understood to include an initial fee of £14m plus up to £8m in add-ons.

Bowen, who scored 16 goals and created seven more in 29 Championship outings for Hull this season, becomes West Ham's third signing of the month after Darren Randolph and Tomas Soucek.
