Green wage demands stalling West Ham talks

Robert Green's contract talks have reportedly hit a snag as the goalkeeper is believed to be demanding a 50% pay rise.

The Hammers, who were promoted back into the Premier League at the first time of asking on Saturday, are refusing to bow to the England international's £45,000-per-week demands, according to The Sun.

Green, 32, will sit down with club officials this week to discuss an extension to his contract.

The goalkeeper has been named as Joe Hart's understudy for the upcoming Euro 2012 championships.
