Danny Murphy has claimed that Queens Park Rangers owner Tony Fernandes should attempt to bring West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce to Loftus Road.
The Hoops are currently looking for a new manager following Harry Redknapp's decision to step down last week.
Allardyce, whose West Ham side are currently eighth in the Premier League, is out of contract in the summer.
When asked if QPR should approach the 60-year-old, Murphy told talkSPORT: "Yeah. Why not? He is proven at keeping teams in the Premier League.
"Would he leave West Ham to go to QPR? I'm not sure, but anybody who is fighting down the bottom would do well getting a better appointment than Big Sam."
Allardyce has been West Ham boss since 2011.
