West Ham United to face Astra Giurgiu in Europa League playoffs

West Ham United have been drawn against Astra Giurgiu for the Europa League playoff round.

Slaven Bilic's side will take on the Romanian team across two legs, which will be played on August 18 and August 25.

The Hammers are no strangers to their opponents as they lost 4-3 on aggregate to the team in the third qualifying round last season.

West Ham sealed their progression into the playoff rounds last night with a 4-2 aggregate victory over NK Domzale, who were West Ham's first visitors to the Olympic Stadium in a competitive match.

Astra managed to pip Steaua Bucuresti to the Romanian title last season.
