Report: West Brom open Iborra talks

West Bromwich Albion have reportedly begun discussions with Sevilla over the signing of Spanish midfielder Vicente Iborra.

The 27-year-old impressed for the La Liga club in a more attacking role last season, scoring nine times for Unai Emery's side and helping them win the Europa League.

The Birmingham Mail reports that Tony Pulis is keen to bring him to the West Midlands, although it is thought that Albion will have to fend off interest from bigger clubs in Europe, with some Spanish reports touting Barcelona as a possible destination.

It is thought that Sevilla would be willing to part with Iborra having sealed the signing of Steven Nzonzi from Stoke City, while Southampton and West Ham have also been linked with a move.

West Brom have been linked with a number of midfielders this summer, with former Arsenal man Abou Diaby reportedly undergoing a medical at the club.
