Tony Pulis: 'Saido Berahino will not leave West Bromwich Albion on cheap'

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis insists that Saido Berahino, whose contact expires next summer, will not leave The Hawthorns on the cheap this summer.

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has insisted that Saido Berahino will not be allowed to leave The Hawthorns in a cut-price deal during this summer's transfer window.

The England Under-21 international is close to entering the final 12 months of his contract with the Baggies and it is understood that a number of clubs are closely monitoring developments.

Pulis, who is still hopeful that the 22-year-old will sign a new deal at The Hawthorns, has claimed that West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace 'does not do bargains'.

"I don't think my chairman does bargains. I know they're talking about it, but you come and work with my chairman - he doesn't do bargains," Pulis told reporters.

West Brom picked up a point in a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
