West Bromwich Albion's Saido Berahino 'shunned by teammates following exit talk'

Berahino 'being shunned by teammates'

West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino is allegedly being shunned by his teammates after publicly declaring that he wants to leave the club and move on "to bigger things".

A club insider has purportedly told The Mirror that a number of Baggies players found the forward's comments disrespectful and have begun ignoring him on the training ground.

Berahino has courted controversy off the pitch this season, earning a road ban for drink-driving and being fined by West Brom for turning up late to training sessions.

The Burundi-born hitman was linked with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur during the winter transfer window, but neither club appeared to be willing to meet his £20m asking price.
