Team News: Nicolas Anelka starts up front for West Bromwich Albion

Nicolas Anelka remains up front for West Bromwich Albion against Everton, who welcome Sylvain Distin back into their starting lineup.

Nicolas Anelka has been named in the starting lineup for West Bromwich Albion's Premier League match against Everton this evening.

The FA are expected to announce their decision regarding Anelka's controversial 'quenelle' gesture in the near future, but new manager Pepe Mel has opted to name the Frenchman in his side nonetheless.

Elsewhere, Mel has made four changes to the side that was beaten 1-0 by Southampton last weekend, bringing in Diego Lugano, Claudio Yacob, Zoltan Gera and Matej Vydra.

Everton, meanwhile, make two changes to the side that eased past Norwich City last Saturday, as Sylvain Distin returns to the starting lineup alongside Bryan Oviedo.

Manager Roberto Martinez has brought the duo in to replace John Stones, who drops to the bench, and Steven Pienaar, who is not in the squad.

West Brom: Foster; Reid, Lugano, Olsson, Ridgewell; Brunt, Morrison, Yacob, Gera; Vydra, Anelka
Subs: Myhill, Mulumbu, Berahino, Jones, Anichebe, Sessegnon, Amalfitano

Everton: Howard; Baines, Jagielka, Distin, Coleman; Barry, McCarthy, Osman, Oviedo, Mirallas; Lukaku
Subs: Robles, McGeady, Hibbert, Heitinga, Stones, Vellios, Naismith
