West Bromwich Albion manager Pepe Mel has admitted that his future at the club hinges on whether they avoid relegation
The Baggies are currently five points clear of the relegation zone, and Mel believes that it would be unwise to claim that he will stay at the club before they secure Premier League football for another season.
"The most important thing is that West Brom are in the Premier League," the Spaniard told reporters.
"Shortly, in the near future, I'll have a meeting with West Bromwich Albion but until it's totally clear about where the club is going to be, the meeting will not take place.
"For me it would be important to be here for pre-season, put together my ambitions and start from scratch."
Mel was named West Brom manager in January.
