West Bromwich Albion's Salomon Rondon: 'Premier League football suits me'

West Bromwich Albion's club-record signing Salomon Rondon has claimed that the style of football in the Premier League suits him well.

The 25-year-old, who joined the Baggies from Zenit St Petersburg last week for a £12m fee, made his debut in Sunday's 3-2 defeat to Chelsea.

"It is a type of football here that suits me, I think, because of my physical characteristics," the London Evening Standard quotes Rondon as saying.

"I need to get to my best as quickly as possible to show my qualities, but I think I am suited to this type of physical game."

Rondon could feature in West Brom's Capital One Cup second-round tie against Port Vale.
