Roy Hodgson: 'We deserved win'

West Bromwich Albion manager Roy Hodgson believes that his side deserved more from their 2-1 loss at home to Wigan Athletic this afternoon.

The Baggies created numerous chances at the Hawthorns but were unable to breach the Wigan net to claim a share of the spoils.

"This was a game we hoped to win and I thought that our performance merited a win so it's nothing but disappointment," Hodgson told BBC Five Live.

"I think we were slightly in front at half time on points and we dominated the second half. If we keep performing like that we'll get results.

"I've been a lot more disappointed with team performances than today."

West Brom are now 15th in the Premier League table, two places above Wigan.
