Chris Brunt has revealed that he will return to training with West Bromwich Albion this week.
The Northern Ireland international has missed the club's last eight matches with a fractured ankle - including their 5-1 derby win over Wolverhampton Wanderers - with a fractured ankle.
As a result, the 27-year-old feels that he may struggle to force his way straight back into the starting lineup.
"I definitely don't expect to walk straight back in - no way," said Brunt. "If we keep playing like we did against Wolves I'll have a job on my hands getting back in the team.
"It was such a good performance by everyone. It would be hard to change anyone in the team.
"That's the way it should be at a football club. There should be competition for places."
Brunt joined the Baggies in 2007 from Sheffield Wednesday.
