Report: Demba Ba chooses Shanghai Shenhua over West Bromwich Albion

Ba 'turned down West Brom approach'

Striker Demba Ba reportedly rejected the chance to join West Bromwich Albion prior to his move to Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua.

The former Chelsea forward has arrived in China to complete his transfer from Turkish side Besiktas, but reports claimed that the Baggies were also interested in doing a deal.

The Guardian suggests that the Midlands club had also made an approach for the striker, but he opted for a move to China instead.

Ba also had spells playing for West Ham United and Newcastle United in the Premier League.
