Video: Watford players celebrate Premier League promotion on the bus

Watford ended their eight-year stay in the Championship yesterday as results went their way on the penultimate matchday of the season, and one of their players captured the moment that they learnt of their promotion.

Having beaten Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 in the lunchtime kickoff, Watford were on the team bus when it was confirmed that neither Middlesbrough or Norwich City had won, guaranteeing the Hornets a place at least in the top two.

Mexican international Miguel Layun filmed the moment that he and his teammates discovered the news and, unsurprisingly, ecstasy ensued.

Next season will be Watford's third in the Premier League and first since the 2006-07 campaign.
