Watford willing to pay £8m for Abdoulaye Doucoure?

Watford have reportedly declared an interest in making Rennes midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure their latest summer signing.

Quique Flores has welcomed 12 new players into his first-team squad since the start of the transfer window, and the new-look side have made a solid start to the season with three successive draws.

However, the Daily Mail claims that the Hornets are ready to improve their options again by signing Doucoure, who has represented France at Under-21 level.

The report suggests that Watford are willing to pay as much as £8m to secure the 22-year-old's services before the end of the window.

Watford are back in action with a trip to Manchester City on Saturday.
